Ask your audience questions.
Establishing the connection between you and your audience is probably the most important aspect when starting a blog. You want your audience to know there is a person behind the computer who enjoys their presence. Ask your bloggees what they want to know more about? This gives you visibility into their world. Since they are your everyday readers it is only right to give them want. Right?!
Try Video Blogging.
Believe it or not, Video Blogging will create consistency in your readers. People have now seen your face and said to themselves, “Oh, so there is a real person behind these fabulous posts I read every day.” Your audience becomes even more dedicated followers. Not only do they get to see your beautiful face, they hear your powerful voice! Your bloggees have now seen you and heard you. They will remember you.
Invite Bloggers from other Blogs YOU enjoy:
Of course, your bloggees love you, they are dedicated to your blog! But sometimes, it’s good to give them a treat and a fresh view! Invite bloggers from other blogs that you know your readers will like.
Create Tutorial Blogs.
As a blogger your entire blog is based off something you are good at. Whether it is business, fashion, networking, money management, etc. Now create a tutorial on how to accomplish this! How do you create a stellar business plan? How did you get your style in fashion? How did you create a budget you live by? You’re the expert, now teach!
When we say the word “list” everyone tends to get this puzzled look on their faces and say “lists?” Yes, LISTS! What are the best books related to your blog’s topic? What are the top 10 sites related to your blog’s topic? Constantly give your audience information in regards to your topic. You want them to accomplish something while reading your blog!
Let’s talk about someone else for a change. Now, of course, pick an interviewee whose topic would be relevant to your blog or maybe even an audience picked topic. Talk to them about how they feel about the topic, their insight, where do they see this going in 10 years, etc. This interview would be even better if you conducted it via video blogging.
Start a Trend and Get Your Blog Trending.
The trending epidemic is hot right now! Try to get your bloggees to do something different or to take part in something new. Create hashtags associated with your trend. Start a new word or phrase, throw a hashtag in it, and get it out there! With today’s social media your power to get trending is unlimited! Get out there!
